How to Get Started

We're beside you every step of the way.

We know that having any work done in your home can often be a stressful and nerve-wracking endeavor. That's why we make it our goal to give you the confidence to make the best decisions so you end up with exactly what you envisioned.

Below, we've outlined our process to help you get started.

  1. Email or fax us a set of plans, or contact us to set up an appointment for a measurement.
  2. Select your material.

We have links to several natural stone distribution centers for your convenience. Because natural stones (granite, marble, etc.) vary in size and color, you will want to visit a distributor and select your slabs specifically.

You may, however, decide to go with a quartz product. Because quartz is a man made material, it is very consistent in size and color. We have quartz samples available for your selection. These include Cambria®, Ceasarstone®, Hanstone™, and Silestone®.

  3. Select your edge detail.
  4. Select your sinks(s) and faucet(s).
  5. Stone Mountain will come and template the desired area.
  6. A 60% deposit will be due at this time to begin fabrication.
  7. Stone Mountain will fabricate and install your custom stone.

The fabrication process takes approximately 1-2 weeks. The stone will be cut, polished, edge detail completed, and an under-mount sink hold cut and polished.

The installation process includes all setting of stone, stove top cut outs and plumbing holes drilled.

  8. A 40% balance will be due upon the completion of the project.
  9. Seal Stone.

We recommend that a sealer be applied to all natural stone. Stone Mountain will provide this service upon request, using Stone-Tech 5 year sealer.

If you have any questions about our process, or if you would like to talk in person, feel free to contact us. We're always eager to help.
